Pattern of the Test Paper for CLAT 2021 Undergraduate (UG) Programme : 

The UG-CLAT 2021 shall be a 2-hour test, with 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. These questions would be divided across the following 5 subjects:

CLAT Total Marks : 150
Total number of CLAT questions : 150 (one mark each)
Duration of CLAT examinations : Two Hours (120 minutes)

CLAT 2021 Subject areas with weightage :

English Language: 28-32 questions, or roughly 20% of the paper
Current Affairs, including General Knowledge: 35-39 questions, or roughly 25% of the paper
Legal Reasoning : 35-39 questions, or roughly 25% of the paper
Logical Reasoning: 28-32 questions, or roughly 20% of the paper
Quantitative Techniques: 13-17 questions, or roughly 10% of the paper

Note : There shall be a system of Negative Marking wherein 0.25 mark will be deducted for each of the wrong answers to multiple choice questions.
